Rev. Kevin Ver Hoeven serves as the pastor of Grant CRC with an extensive background of pastoring in
rural areas across the country. He has a simple three-pronged strategy for pastoring here: love the
flock, feed the flock, and make disciples of the flock. Pastor Kevin has been married to his best friend,
Suzanne, now for almost 40 years. He is the father of three adult children and one adorable grandson.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, has done a lot of work with stained glass, and enjoys following the
Detroit sports teams (he’s a glutton for punishment) and the Michigan Wolverines. He is also the author
of a never-to-be-made-into a Hollywood movie and the not-yet bestselling book “Winning Again: Hope
for the Church in Little America.” Pastor Kevin invites you to join him, and all of the church, on this life-
time adventure and pilgrimage of walking with Jesus.
Hey there! My name is Mark Nagy and I have the privilege of serving as Director of Youth Ministries here at Grant CRC. I’ve been attending this church ever since my family moved to the area from Jenison when I was in 5th grade, so I’m getting to know my way around the building. My wife, Emily, and I started leading our Exodus group while we were engaged in 2011 and God has made a way for me to stay involved with pastoring and shepherding the young people at Grant CRC ever since. When I’m not helping kids realize the beauty of living a Christ-centered life, I love spending time with Emily and my two kids, Philip and Jane, sitting in a tree stand, going fishing, playing and coaching baseball, reading a good book, playing guitar, and rooting for the Tigers, Lions, and whichever University of Michigan team is on TV.
Please feel free to reach out via phone or email. I would love to get to know you and your family!
